Step 5: Confirm the applicable filing year<\/h3>\r\nIdentify the annual return being prepared and check the rules and form instructions relevant to that filing. Do not assume that the current figures automatically determine the correct form for every previous year.\r\n

Step 6: Retain evidence<\/h3>\r\nKeep copies of the relevant financial statements, paid-up capital records and company-status information. Prepare a brief note documenting the form-selection decision.\r\n

What if the company is close to a limit?<\/h3>\r\nIf turnover or paid-up capital is close to the threshold, verify the figures carefully. If the financial statements or ownership structure are complicated, seek advice from a practising company secretary or other qualified professional.\r\n
